When by the middle of the 80s almost every big manufacturer
of radios introduced units with 8 inch speakers to the market
the GF-9000 was Sharp's answer. The unit features large and
colorful VU meters and white speakers which gave it a very fresh
look. The design of the rather decorative speaker guards in
front of the speakers was copied by many companies later on.
